    Mr. Itamar Gero, the newly-elected President of the Israel Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCP) called on Philippine Ambassador to Israel Neal Imperial on 14 June 2016. Ambassador Imperial and Mr. Gero discussed closer collaboration in advancing the economic ties of the Philippines and Israel, particularly in the areas of tourism, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), software development, agri-technology, kosher manufactured food products and defense equipment manufacturing. OFW Deployment to Israel Up by 24.56% Posted on 12 January 2017

2016 marks the highest deployment number of Filipino caregivers in Israel in the last five years. Based on data from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Tel Aviv for 2016, OFW deployment increased by 24.56% from 2,288 in 2015 to 2,850 in 2016.

Four Filipino welders won a financial settlement of about NIS 20,000 (USD 5,250) each from an Israeli construction company, after a successful negotiation mediated by the Philippine Embassy and Kav LaOVed, an Israeli non-profit organization that provides assistance to migrant laborers.
