Advisory ukol sa Green Passport

GUIDELINES ON THE ISSUANCE OF GREEN PASSPORTS

The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Tel Aviv wishes to announce the following guidelines pertaining to the issuance of Machine Ready Readable Passports (MRRP) or the "GREEN PASSPORTS":

  • The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) set 31 MARCH 2010 as the last day for member countries to issue MRRP or GREEN PASSPORTS.

    Therefore, effective 1 April 2010, ONLY MACHINE READABLE PASSPORTS (MRP) or the MAROON PASSPORTS will be issued;

  • In case of a LOST or EXPIRED PASSPORT, and the holder is URGENTLY traveling to the Philippines, the Philippine Embassy may issue a ONE-WAY TRAVEL DOCUMENT to the concerned.

    In such cases, the Embassy strongly advises all concerned to IMMEDIATELY apply for Machine Readable Passport or e-Passport at the Deparment of Foreign Affairs (Central Office) or at any of its Regional Consular Offices (RCOs);

  • Please note that MRP or MAROON PASSPORT normally takes at least 4 weeks since applications submitted at the Embassy are processed in Manila for the subsequent issuance. In this regard, the Philippine Embassy encourages all holders of GREEN PASSPORTS to apply for early renewal, even those whose green passports are still due to expire in six months.

This will pre-empt the sudden rush of MRP/Maroon Passport applications in the coming months and, at the same time, lessen inconvenience on the part of the general public.

For information and guidance of all concerned.

    Ngunit pinaalalahanan ang lahat ng kinauukulan na mangyari lamang na agarang kumuha o mag-apply ng Maroon Passport sa Kagawaran ng Ugnayang Panglabas (Department of Foreign Affairs) o sa alinmang Regional Consular Offices (RCO);
